KARA Mourns the Passing of Former Board Member Jerry Martin

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has launched a new email subscription feature for Bulletins Live! Two, giving pesticide users a more convenient way to stay informed about updates to Endangered Species Act requirements.

Bulletins Live! Two provides area-specific information for pesticide users when pesticide labels direct them to the system for additional measures intended to protect listed species and designated critical habitat.

EPA continually updates the system, including adding and revising Pesticide Use Limitation Areas (PULAs). As a result, information applicable to a particular product or location can change over time.

What the new email alerts provide

Pesticide users who subscribe to EPA’s updates can receive notifications about:

  • Major Bulletins Live! Two system updates
  • New Pesticide Use Limitation Areas
  • Changes to existing Pesticide Use Limitation Areas

EPA said the new feature was developed in response to requests from pesticide users for improved access to Bulletins Live! Two updates.

Why this matters

A pesticide product or location may not have an applicable geographic restriction today but could have one in the future as EPA updates Bulletins Live! Two. The email subscription feature provides another way for pesticide users to stay aware of changes and identify when they may need to review updated information before making an application.

KARA encourages members to continue reviewing applicable pesticide labels and Bulletins Live! Two information before making pesticide applications.
